boys-surnames only

Postby daveo » Wed Apr 26, 2006 10:06 pm

I notice in the series that boys were only called by surnames.I dont mind when are teachers do thisand most of my mates call each other by their second names anyway so for me it might be a small step in helping discipline in schools.Did all u who took part prefer it,dont mind it or dont like it?

pUt it this way. With a surname called Ho, you can imagine how funny it sounds without even saying it! and besides, it's more confusing being called surnames. What happens if twins come along? more confusing! and triplets? it'd end up being where's wally?!

Its quite often done in peer groups. When I was younger I was called by my surname. Although my surname can also be a male first name, especially in America!!

I (im a girl) call some of my lad mates by their surnames sometimes. Girls don't get called by their last names though.

yeah well in my group of friends we do all call each other by thier surnames only boys though girls are still called by thier first names,
however girls will still call the boys by thier first names.

i actually think it's a young thing isn't it and it didn;t make much of a difference i will answer to "Luke" or "Mills".

Luke.
