CELEBRITY FIT CLUB

07 January, 2006 by The_Boss

ITV1 Tuesday 10th January 2006 8:00 PM to 9:00 PM

Celebrity Fit Club is back in a new nine part series with eight new out-of-shape celebrities desperate to get fit, lose weight and change their lifestyles for good.

Champagne and glitzy parties will make way for green salad and squat thrusts as the Fit Club experts work their magic in the latest series of ITV1’s hit show.

Broadcaster ANNE DIAMOND, This Morning TV expert SHARON MARSHALL, darts ace BOBBY GEORGE, actor JEFF RUDOM, football legend MICK QUINN, former Hollyoaks actress MIKYLA DODD, journalist CAROLE MALONE and astrologer RUSSELL GRANT all hope to shed the pounds this time around.

They will follow the instructions of fearsome US drill instructor HARVEY WALDEN and nutritionist DR ADAM CAREY.

Each week, all eight celebrities - divided into two teams - will be simultaneously weighed on the dreaded ‘Scales of Truth’. Fifteen feet across and twelve feet high, the scales will strike fear into the hearts and stomachs of the celebs as they step up at the ceremonial event hosted by DALE WINTON.

And there’s no place to hide. After the team weigh-in, each of the celebrities will be individually targeted and viewers will find out who’s been pulling their weight and who’s been a dieting disaster.

Each week Harvey and Adam will be joined on the panel by Fit Club past masters including Vanessa Feltz, Paul Ross, Lizzy Bardsley and Amy Lamé.

At the camps Harvey and the team will put the participants through their paces. From rollerblading to ballet, soccer and even synchronised swimming, the Fit Club trainers will try everything to tone them up. There will be no let up at any time – the Fit Club cameras will even follow the celebs home and reveal the contents of their fridge!
