ANT & DEC’S SATURDAY NIGHT TAKEAWAY

12 September, 2006 by The_Boss

ITV1 Saturday 16th September 2006 7:45pm to 9:00pm

Ant and Dec are back with a brand new series of ANT & DEC’S SATURDAY NIGHT TAKEAWAY; with new stunts, surprises and shocks for the studio audience and viewers at home.

BEAT THE BOYS is a brand new item for this series. Ant and Dec will be challenging other top showbiz double acts to race them round a race track in a variety of specially customised vehicles. However in typical Takeaway fashion there will be a twist - one half of the act will be doing the steering while the other does the pedals and these will be no ordinary cars, there will be two different customised vehicles making an appearance each week. First into the hot seat, literally, are This Morning’s FERN BRITTON and PHILLIP SCHOFIELD.

And fancy a ride on the brand new JIGGY BANK? Ant and Dec’s giant 9 feet piggy bank is on a tour of the country. One lucky viewer will have the chance to hop on the pig which is filled with 5000 pound coins and jiggle up and down, the more they jiggle the more money they can get from the pig.

And what on earth have LITTLE ANT and DEC been up to over their summer holidays? Well they are growing taller by the day and are, they tell us, in the middle of concocting a not so ‘Little’ scheme which they will be showing viewers on show one. They won't tell a soul what they are up to until then but there's lots of sniggering and not a lot of concentrating going on!

There are some new studio games for GRAB THE ADS. Introducing, Hook A Duck, which see’s one fearless celebrity defying gravity - suspended upside down from the studio ceiling, they will aim to pluck a (rubber) duck with the hook on their helmet from the pond below them. Hook a duck, and they win a prize for a viewer at home.

Ant V Dec is back, even bigger and better than before with Ant having everything to play for as Dec beat him in the last series. The first challenge is a very special live challenge - all the producers will say is that viewers will be very surprised and very amused.

And as usual the very best names from the music business will be dropping in to perform - first up it’s The PUSSYCAT DOLLS with a world exclusive performance of their new single ‘I Don’t Need A Man’ and they’ll be joining Ant and Dec in the opening sketch too.

And of course the lads are giving away the ads – the only show on telly that says – ‘Don’t just watch the ads – win ‘em!’ One lucky member of the studio audience will be given the chance to play for the contents of a commercial break everything from mega prizes of cars and holidays, to well…. a toilet roll.
