BBC 2 Tuesday the 8th August 2006 8:00pm - 9:00pm

This series, exploring the wonderful world of interior design, features Nina Campbell and design historian Professor Alison Clarke. At the heart of each programme is the theme of one room, and episode one looks into all aspects of the living room.

In At Home With..., house-proud Brits from all over the UK give a guided tour of their living room. Tonight, Home takes a sneak peak into quirky Blackpool couple Dennis and Norma's rococo palace and Jane Reed's animal-print haven in Warrington.

Nina Campbell's Golden Rules finds Nina, with her contagious wit and brilliant sense of style, revealing her living-room design secrets. She ventures to the high street and shows viewers how to pull together a look from one type of fabric.

In The Way We Live, Professor Alison Clarke analyses what the design style of empty nesters Tony and Domini, from Derbyshire, really says about them.

The Way We Lived, meanwhile, offers a potted history of how the design of rooms has developed. In style-conscious Victorian Britain, the fire and its surrounds took centre stage. Later, the invention of television changed the layout of people's living rooms for ever.

In Design Heroes, Home gets up close and personal with the biggest names in design. Ron Arad has made a huge impact on living-room design after creating the bookworm bookcase that is fixed to the wall.

New Trends finds Home showcasing the hottest new trends in home design; in the living room, it's the recent revival of wallpaper.
