Gordon Ramsay's F Word

20 June, 2006 by The_Boss

Channel 4 Wednesday June 21 2006 8:30pm - 9:30pm

Last year Gordon Ramsay's F Word made its debut and quickly established an unrivalled reputation for its fresh, edgy and innovative approach to all things foodie.

Now it's back for a second nine-week season. Ramsay's weekly food magazine show is big, bold and fast-paced - fuelled by the irrepressible energy and passion of its host.

A typical weekly menu might include three Ramsay recipes - every dish something viewers can cook at home; Gordon sets himself the challenge of getting the nation cooking Sunday lunch; consumer stories that tell us what we need to know about the food we buy; and celebrity foodies challenging Gordon to better their favourite dish.

And this time round there's even more jeopardy for the man who can't resist a challenge when he is joined each week in the kitchen by a different bunch of amateur cooks, who line up to experience the white heat of Ramsay's presence as they face the awesome challenge of cooking and serving a three-course dinner for a restaurant full of diners.

In tonight's first show Gordon takes Tana and the kids to collect the pigs he's going to be rearing in his back garden; welcomes foodie Kathy Burke to the F Word restaurant; faces a tough Recipe Challenge; and launches his celebrity cookbook amnesty, inviting viewers and diners to send him all the celebrity recipe books they have ever bought and never used, for him to dispose of, all in the name of good food, of course.
