TV Quick and TV Choice Awards 2005

The TV Quick and TV Choice Awards saw the usual competition amongst the soaps with Coronation Street taking the prize this year for best soap. It was not all bad news though for Eastenders with Shane Ritchie (Alfie Moon)being named best soap actor and Lacey Turner (Stacey Slater) won best soap newcomer.
Emmerdale also came away with two awards one for best storyline which was the ruined wedding of Charity Dingle - played by Emma Atkins, who won the other Emmerdale award for best soap actress.

With Christopher Eccleston winning best actor Julie Walters won best actress for the ITV drama "Ahead of the Class".

Best factual show went to Jamie's School Dinners which was well worthy of the title.

Best-loved drama went to ITV's Footballers' Wives.

Best entertainment show - Strictly Come Dancing.

Best reality show - I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here!

Paul O'Grady's daily chat show collected best daytime show while Dawn French and Vicar of Dibley claimed best comedy.
